IT services company Tech Mahindra has tapped GCash PowerPay Plus for easier and faster reimbursement of employee expenses.

The use of GCash PowerPay Plus, an automated salary disbursement app, will extend to Tech Mahindra’s units such as vCustomer Philippines and vCustomer Cebu.

By using GCash PowerPay Plus, employees of Tech Mahindra are assured they will receive their reimbursements in real time, and that the funds are safe and can be withdrawn 24/7 from any BancNet ATMs nationwide.

The launching of the partnership between GCash and Tech Mahindra was led by top officials of the two companies - Mynt CEO Anthony Thomas and Tech Mahindra Philippines Country Head Anand Achutan and was attended by more than 1,500 employees.

Anand Achuthan, Country Head of Tech Mahindra, feels that this partnership will provide their employees with benefits and options to be more resourceful and independent. It’s also another strategic step in setting the bar high for culture of being proud to be TechMighties.

Mynt, owned by Globe Telecom, Ant Financial and Ayala Corp., has been finding ways to make payments in the Philippines safer and more convenient through its GCash e-wallet which can be used to pay for purchases and bills in various establishments in the Philippines other through GCash Mastercard or by scanning the QR codes via the mobile phone.

Using the GCash scan to pay feature is easy and hassle-free. Customers just have to download the GCash App for free from the App Store or Google Playstore and register an account. Once installed, customers can cash-in or reload at any GCash kiosk and digital payment booth in Globe stores, and in over 12,000 GCash Partner Outlets such as Robinson’s Business Centers, SM Business Centers, Puregold branches, 7-Eleven Cliqq kiosks, and TouchPay kiosks.

With the QR-based mobile payment app, customers can shop by just scanning the QR codes displayed by partner merchants and establishments. Using the smartphone app, customers no longer have carry around cash to shop and pay their bills. It’s convenient, safe and enables shoppers to keep track of their expenses.
